It seems that three years ago we introduced a bike that the public were crying out for, a fast, lightweight road bike with a flat bar set up, priced under £1000. Well three years on and little has changed, the 2013 Chord is still based around these core principles and still retails at £999. The new version features the same high quality triple butted 7005 aluminium frame and LDC high mod carbon fork as before and now runs on American Classic’s Victory wheels and a mix of Microshift and Barelli group/finishing kit. With its new paint job you are looking at one of the most versatile bikes in the range.

So the factory build of this bike is not to your taste, don’t worry thats not a problem. Our commitment to making sure you get your perfect Moda means our mechanics will build to your specifications right here in our Derbyshire workshop, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Choose your preferred groupset. You want to up spec the bike for improved performance or down spec from the Factory build to hit a budget – this is not a problem. We can build with components from Shimano, Shimano Di2, Campagnolo, Campagnolo EPS, Sram or Microshift.
Choose your preferred finishing kit. You need a specific length stem? Require a flat bar over drop bars or don’t need a full tri bar cockpit, we do it all the time. We can build with ITM, Deda, Kenda, Scwhalbe, Vitoria, Selle Italia as well as Barelli and American Classic wheels.

Our Derbyshire headquarters are the base for design and testing, right through to assembly by professional seasoned race mechanics, ensuring that each and every bike that leaves us arrives with you as intended.
We don’t claim to be the biggest bike brand around but we do make a claim on the quality of our bikes. To back this claim up and to prove to you of the belief we have in our products we offer a lifetime warranty on our frames to the original owner.
Load Dispersing Aluminium
We apply the same thought process to our aluminium frames as we do our carbon ones. Points of high load and increased stress not only receive high quality welds and gusseting if needed but but also a thicker tube profile.
With these areas re-enforced we can remove unnecessary weight elsewhere on the frame to provide a lightweight responsive base for our aluminium bikes.
